Schools Educational institutions use mediated modeling for problem based education. The role of teachers is changing. The one-way flow of information to students with the expectation of students reproducing the information is becoming outdated. Problem-based education allows students to use their own brains and develop the capacity to think and be creative. Mediated modeling can be a tool for students to study complex problems. Although a master version of a model may be preferable to maintain, students can develop sub-models to practice model-building skills as well as interactive problem-solving skills. Applied problems involving the community stimulate the imagination and motivation of the students. The data gathering, integration, and creative ideas may be highly appreciated by members of the community. |
